The Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser Saturday night for 4 of the Elks Rodeo Queen Candidates was lots of fun, and the dinner was good too!  There was a steady stream of customers enjoying spaghetti, salad and french bread, and some wine tasting as well.  I spent my calories on the bake sale rather than wine tasting, because it was mostly home-made and very tempting! It was a pleasure to meet the candidates and see their enthusiasm up close.  I entered my name into the drawing for a new iPad and of course we bought 50/50 tickets too.  There was country western music, and a toe-tapping good time was had by all!

A big shout-out and thanks to Cheryl Ann Miller at Guild Mortgage who does so much to organize these events, and of course to Welcome Home Military Heroes and the other great groups sponsoring these wonderful young women! Candidates who served last night were Tawni Stoneburner, Eva Baro, Molly Nogues and Brianna Mandujano.  More events coming up — you will have an opportunity to contribute to their success, which truly is a success for the entire Santa Maria Valley!
