Halloween Fun in Foxenwood
Published on October 28th, 2012

Just for fun, I thought it would be amusing to feature local homes dressed up for Halloween! I set out for a long walk with my trusty little Dee Dee in search of the thrilling, chilling creativity this time of year can produce, camera in hand. Well, Foxenwood is a very large area of over 850 homes, so I wasn’t able to cover the entire neighborhood on foot, so after awhile we came home with just a few photos to share. Even after following up with a slow cruise in my car, I was unable to locate any spooktacular residences worthy of interest, although I could have missed a few streets, to be sure. (Note: there is a lot of detail in some of these yard displays that can’t be captured by an amateur photographer, I’m sorry to say, and lighting has a lot to do with it as well, so my apologies to the homeowners if they don’t show off their handiwork to the best advantage. In particular, the single level home on Camelot has a lot of color and detail.)I will say this: there were way too many political signs stuck in lawns — oh, maybe that’s the scare this year! Who needs giant ghosts or witches when politics do the trick anyway??
I’m afraid my enthusiasm was dampened a bit, so I’ll refer you to my spirited blog of October 26, 2011 which has a lot of fun ideas for you — you’ll have to ignore the part about events and go straight to the craft, food and drinks section.
I’ve always got the spirit for helping people buy and sell homes, so give me a call at (805)937-5777 or send an email!
