As an Orcutt resident, I have an affinity for our local area, which is an unincorporated area of Santa Barbara County, adjacent to and south of, the Santa Maria city limits. Within this area are the neighborhoods of Foxenwood Estates, Oakhill Estates, Elkhorn Estates, Lake Marie Estates, Creekside, Country Club Estates, Crystal Creek, Deerfield Estates, Lorraine Estates, Sunrise Hills and others.

I also serve Santa Maria, Nipomo, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, and the surrounding areas. If you are looking for property in an area I do not frequently service, such as north San Luis Obispo County, I would be very pleased to recommend a top-notch real estate professional who specializes in the area of your interest. I consider it a disservice to you to present myself as an expert where I am not.

For a simple analogy, most of us would not visit our dentist for an eye exam. Although homes are pretty much the same from town to town, each locality has its own quirks. I can’t advise you about schools in Paso Robles, for example, water issues in Cambria, or zoning restrictions in Atascadero.

Most agents in those areas prefer not to work in the Santa Maria Valley, either — so if you find one who does, be sure they really know our market before accepting advice, and ask yourself if you might be better off working with someone who lives and works in the Valley. But please remember, I can refer you to an agent I know and trust in any part of the county, state or nation!
